Scope Cerakote FAQ

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the color match my rifle color?

Yep, absolutely. At Noble Automatics, we utilize the same high-quality H-Series Cerakote that your manufacturer employs, ensuring durability and longevity. As Certified Cerakote applicators, we adhere to the industry’s best practices by mixing our colors just like the factory does—with precision by weight. This meticulous process allows us to calculate the ideal ratio for each color based on specific density, resulting in a match that is either perfect or very close to the original finish of most rifles on the market today, all while staying within the tolerance limits of the equipment used in our application and your manufacturer’s process.

What brands or types of optics can be Cerakoted?

Mmmm, we can essentially coat just about all types of optics available on the market today, including scopes, red dots, range finders, and spotting scopes—you name it, we’ve got you covered. However, it’s important to note that certain areas like rubberized eyepieces cannot be coated; for these sections, we meticulously tape them off to preserve their natural look. Is the finish guaranteed?

We stand by our craftsmanship with an unwavering guarantee that lasts a lifetime. Each item undergoes rigorous testing before it is dispatched, ensuring that any issues that may arise will be addressed promptly at our expense, including the cost of shipping. It is important to keep in mind that while our H-Series Cerakote is designed to endure demanding use, it is not impervious to the effects of time. You can expect to see some wear, particularly in the areas that typically experience the most friction, much like any other finish. Additionally, please note that sharp edges or significant impacts could potentially compromise its integrity.

Will any function of my optic be affected in any way?

No, there will be no impact whatsoever on the functionality of your optic.

Will the manufacturer's warranty be void?

We want to clarify that while we are not your manufacturer and cannot represent their policies, our conversations with representatives from reputable brands such as Leupold, Sig Sauer, and Vortex suggest that warranty issues are unlikely to occur unless there is clear evidence linking the concern to the Cerakote application process, for instance, if overspray affects the lens. To address any specific warranty-related questions, we strongly encourage you to contact your manufacturer directly for the most accurate information.

How do I care for my Cerakoted optic?

The care for your Cerakoted optic remains as straightforward as it was prior to the application of the Cerakote finish, requiring no specialized maintenance. You can easily maintain the sleek finish by simply wiping it down alongside your firearm during routine cleaning sessions, keeping it looking sharp and well-preserved. For this task, we recommend the tried-and-true Hoppes No. 9, which effectively cleans and revitalizes surfaces while ensuring that your optic stays in excellent condition.
